Weekends are supposed to be relaxing right? Man, this was one busy weekend!
On Saturday we went over to Suisuin, Calif. for our son-in-laws latest round of jetski races. Since the races were in Suisun where our son’s girlfriend Kim lives, they also invited us to her place for a barbecue. As luck has it, she happens to live right across the road from the Suisun harbor where the jetski were held.
Kim has a lovely home there, it was the first time I had seen it. She really has a knack for decorating, it was just beautiful. You could see Brian’s handiwork there too. Our son Brian did a lot of the remodeling for her although it’s mostly minor things but I recognize Brian’s work anywhere.
After we visited for a few minutes, we all packed up a few things to carry with us across the street and headed to the harbor. Gail had ridden down there with us because she wanted to work with her horses first and Derek, her husband had left early for the races.
I won’t bore you with lots of pictures, but I’ll post a few of the better ones.
Here we have Derek racing, he won all three of his heats, that boy is pretty fast on a jetski.
Of course since it was MY camera, I also had to get a shot of the Suisun firemen/rescue team who were watching the races and ready to spring into action if needed. I’m glad they weren’t needed because they were nice to observe. 
After the races we all walked back over to Kim’s place for a barbecue. The kids fixed a nice dinner of chicken kabobs and salmon too!
Sunday was another busy day, I’ll fill you in on that next time.
