Well yesterday’s graduation party for Gail was a success. We had about 25 people come and I think everyone had a great time.
The food was great, I’ll have to thank the cook. Oh wait, that was me! You’re welcome.
I had fixed pork spareribs, hamburgers and hot dogs as well as two large salads. I think there was plenty for all and everyone loved the feast. The appetizers of chip dip and the layered bean dip went over well too and kept the hungry crowd at bay while the main courses finished on the grill.
For desert my son-in-law brought the cake. It was the one thing I asked him to bring and the cake was lovely as well as tasty.
I didn’t take too many photos, I was too busy cooking and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. These photos are a few of the guests. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm but not hot so it was comfortable for all.
Only one of Gail’s cousins and family were able to come, the other started out but on the way, her kids came down with the flu and she had to return home. The kids would have loved fishing at the pond with their little cousins.
I think fishing was the most fun for the little ones that were here. They spent hours down at the pond.
Of course that also meant that their grandpa (my brother-in-law) and their mom (our niece) were also down at the pond for hours. Someone had to bait the hooks! It was time well spent though and quite rewarding for the kids especially after a catch!.:)
Little Aidan caught the first and he was so excited!
All in all, it was a great day with great food, friends and family. It was tiring for me but well worth the effort.
