Well it’s now officially Christmas Eve. Of course realistically it’s Christmas Eve morning right now…eve denotes nightime. That’s ok, it’s close enough. The hustle and bustle of Christmas at the shopping malls will be coming to an end today once the last minute shoppers make their last purchases.
It is a fun time of year and in the blogging world it’s a chance to talk of other things besides the woes of the world. It’s a happy time.
I still have a few more pictures to share with you though then I’ll tuck them away. Oh heck, you just might see some of the Christmas morning gift giving next time.
While at the William Glen store we looked for some special things for extra Christmas gifts. Actually I just wanted to go there, it’s that old open air mall I spoke of a few days ago. It’s all decked out for Christmas now but they still are one of the finest housewares stores in the area.
One of the cutest things we came away with that day was some battery operated tea lights. Tea lights are those very small candles you use in small candle holders, they are good on the table and for those times you don’t want a full sized candle burning but like the reflection of lights of the candle holder.
These battery operated tea lights are so cool and they even flicker like a real candle flame. One of the teachers I worked with game me these candle holders one year, I bring them out every Chistmas. I think I caught one of the little lights mid-flicker in the picture.
The other photo I wanted to share is a shot of my little fiber-optic village. It’s lighted colors are constantly changing from red to green to blue to purple to yellow and to white. It’s hard to catch the colors in a picture but I did manage to get this one.
The little train runs the circle track of the village when it’s plugged in but it’s noise is less irritating when the train is not on the tracks.
I want to wish all my readers a very Merry Christmas!
