Before I get on with the fun stuff, I wanted to show you the remains of the container the Christmas cookies were in before I melted it in the oven. Actually only the bottom is melted, I pulled it out before the whole thing and the cookies turned into a complete plastic mess.
It’s outside on top of the barbecue cover until it finds it’s way to the garbage can. The yellow part is the lid, the melted part is the bottom of the container.
Last night while sitting at my computer I hear the gentle tearing of wrapping paper at the gifts under the tree behind me.
Here’s the culprit…Tubby!
She thinks she’s being real cute and when she sees that I saw her she rolls on her side so I won’t be upset at her. Tubby tries to unwrap some of the gifts every year.
Of course Spunky heard what was going on and wanted to get in on the fun. Tubby and Spunky began playing hide and seek among the presents.

Those two are so funny. Besides being a pain about the tree and the gifts they chase one another up and down the stairs in the evening. It sounds like a herd of horses they make so much noise!
Today is Mr. Blu’s birthday, he’s 61 now! Yikes! The kids will all come over later tonight for pizza and beer and cookie frosting. Sounds like a good combination huh? I’m just glad I saved most of the cookies from certain plastic death!
