Yesterday my husband and I went down to a speciality store in an old shopping mall that I’d been to often when we lived down in that area. The mall is called Town and Country Village and it’s an open air mall. It’s quite refreshing to see that not much has changed. Oh sure, there’s different shops other than what was there when we lived in that area but the ambience of the old mall hasn’t changed.
The speciality store we visited has all those strange and wonderful kitchen things as well as lots of Christmas gifts and decorations. My husband picked out some small serving plates that came in a set of four for Brian’s and Joel’s girlfriends and an extra set for Gail. He wanted to get the girls one more thing since the presents for the boys are those manly things such as tools or car accessories. I had already gotten a wine gift basket for Kim and a bath and body lotions gift basket for Randi so these will be a nice addition to their gifts. Gail gets the extra gift because she’s Gail. I think she’ll like the little plates as well, they’ll come in handy for entertaining.
After we came home I wrapped the new gifts then drove up to our mailbox to see what had come. To my surprise there was a package from Miss Vicki, all the way from England! I had sent her a small bag of Jelly Belly Beans because she said she hadn’t heard of them and she loved Jelly beans! I didn’t expect to get a gift in return though.
This is perfect! It’s a box of fine chocolates! Now if only I can keep out of them until Christmas and put them out for our family on Christmas day. That’s going to be hard! Well forget that, I see that my husband has already gotten into the box! Thank you Vicki!
I’m curious if anyone else gets this type of spam message from Yahoo Messenger. I finally remembered to take a screen shot of my computer before I hit “Ignore” and “Report as Spam”.
I get those often and the sender’s nickname is always a set of random letters, different every time. They all say the same thing though, “Hey sexy” and there’s that fish on each as well. Seeing as it’s a fish I’m thinking it’s used for Phishing.
I also get many with links to sites for hot chicks and such, those are ignored and reported as spam too. By the way, never ever click on those links that come through YM! These fishy ones have me very annoyed though.
