Well it seems we’re ready for Christmas, almost. There’s still a few odds and ends to go like cleaning and baking but the gift buying is done for the most part. My husband was saying that he still wants to get something else for Gail and her husband Derek. We’ve got them one big gift for the both of them but he wants to get something personal for each. He’s suggested watches and I think that’s a good idea. I’ll run up to Gottschalk’s today and see what they have. They carry Fossil watches and I think both of the kids would like any of those.
Other than the little shopping trip I plan to clean the floors and bake the cookies today. Once baked I’ll put the cookies in containers to await the frosting. Each year the kids like to come over and frost the cookies for me. Gail even mentioned the cookie frosting to Derek the other day and told him to get ready. Derek only seems to be able to frost one cookie while the rest of us do dozens. We love to tease him about his slowness at it.
Well I’d better get to the floors and get the cookie making utensils and ingredients ready. I’ll leave you with a shot of the Christmas tree as it is today.
