Ah ha! They just left! 
My husband and one of his friends just left for an overnight stay in Chico for golf and a Chico State basketball game. My husband’s friend spent the night here last night because his home is so far from ours it was easier for him to just stay here and then they could take off from our house. I even made a coffee cake for their breakfast, now they don’t have to stop and buy breakfast on the way up there.
That leaves me home alone for about 36 hours! 
Ok, so I won’t be totally alone, I still have Moe and the cats with me plus at least one of my watchkids will be by at some point today I’m sure.
Anytime the husband has had one of these overnight trips there’s never been anything good on T.V. so having control of the T.V. remote is pointless. Oh well, maybe tonight will be different.
We’ve started putting up some of the Christmas decorations. We don’t put many lights on the house because they can’t be seen from the road but my husband did put our little lighted deer out yesterday.
I just tried to unplug it for the day but I don’t know how he has that set up. My husband has Duct taped the plug and the outlet it’s plugged into. I’ll just leave the little guy lit for now. There’s another bunch of lights on the tree but we need to get an extra connection to plug the two things in. I’ll look for one today.
Yesterday I picked up a small poinsettia for the front porch.
I really like this one.
It seems I buy a poinsettia plant every year yet I’ve never gotten one to live much past Christmas. I wonder how many poinsettias have gone to plant heaven because they don’t keep growing and blooming in this area? Every year I try to keep them alive though and I’ll try again with this one.
I’m going to try and finish up my Christmas shopping today. This morning I was asking our friend where a good place for golf equipment in this area is. I’d like to get my husband a gift card for the golf shop.
