Why is that we can’t just turn the damn machines on and start using them? It’s probably time for a new computer, this one while once pretty darned fast to load now takes several minutes longer.
I installed IE 7 the other day because I was tired of sites telling me that I’d see it better using IE 7. That’s not really true though, they look the same to me! I liked IE 6. I don’t think I’ll put IE 7 on my laptop. For one thing, at start up there’s an error message about “GetProcessImageFileName” not being there. I looked the error up and it seems it’s a common complaint from those who installed IE 7. I’ll just continue to click on the “OK” button and let the machine load as usual. It’s a flaw in IE 7 obviously.
I know, you’ll tell me to use Firefox or Opera. I have Firefox but have found that some sites won’t work with it so I’ve stuck to IE. I haven’t tried Opera yet though.
I also updated my iTunes and Musicmatch yesterday. They are ok, but why I bothered to update I’ll never know. I don’t listen to music much. It was that damn Facebook that had me updating iTunes. I installed a music application. Again I don’t know why, I don’t like running and listening to music on my computer. For one thing I keep the sound turned way down, having the sound up attracts attention from others around me. Oh well. I’ll probably remove the music application this morning if it’s not worth keeping.
Facebook has so many useless applications. I also intalled a game application. It’s got hundreds of games you can play while in Facebook. That might be fun. Mostly I play the pirates game though. There’s something satisfying about bombing a ship out of the water. *evil thoughts*
This afternoon I’m meeting Renee for an early dinner around 5:00. She wants to see my Washington D.C. pictures so I’ll bring the album with me. It will be fun to visit her again. My husband will have to fend for himself for dinner tonight. Serves himself right, he’s golfed three days this week already!
The fires down south are finally getting under control. While the fires are about eight hours south of us, the smoke and smells of the fires have begun to waft their way up north. It’s not bad, just the faint smell of a forest fire burning. It’s really amazing how much damage has been done by the fires. Thousands of homes have been lost and thousands of people have been forced out of the area. I hope the fires are completely out soon so folks can begin to rebuild their homes and their lives.
