If you follow the news at all you’ve heard of the massive fires in Southern California. Thousands of people have been evacuated and hundreds of homes have been lost as the fire spreads. We’re about eight hours away from Southern California but I can imaging what those poor people are dealing with.
Fire is always a problem in California at least until the winter rains set in. I believe they think this fire was caused by a downed power line. That’s only one of the many photos I found on the local and U.S. news pages.
I don’t have any particular plans for today. Perhaps I’ll run up to Gottschalk’s and see what’s on sale. Tuesedays are my days to shop there, it’s Senior Discount Day! :) Of course there’s nothing I need but I’m looking for ideas for Christmas. I don’t wait until the last minute to do the Christmas shopping but I also don’t like to start too early. I don’t like rushing the season too much.
Brian picked up his Armani suit over the weekend. I haven’t seen it yet but he’s pretty excited about it. He says the fabric is wonderful. Brian also bought an Armani shirt and tie AND shoes! I guess the entire ensemble cost about $2,500. I told Brian that he and Kim are going to have to attend some classy affairs so he can wear his suit. He said that he’s waiting for someone to die so he has a funeral to attend. Smart ass kid with taste! I’m eager to see him in his Armani clothing and to get a picture. He looks so good when he’s dressed up in a suit and tie. :) Perhaps Brian inherited his good taste from me. 
This is Brian and his cousin Jill at a wedding of one of their friends. How cool is that that they were both in the wedding and walked the aisle together?
Jill has a sister Kelly who looks similar. In fact, all the girls in our family look somewhat alike. I was telling Kelly the other day how she, Jill and our daughter Gail have many of the same expressions and how closely they resemble one another.
