Yesterday I went over to Best Buy, it’s my favorite toy store. Anyway, I had decided I needed a different digital camera to take on our trip to Washington D.C. next week. I had planned to bring my Canon Digital Rebel but with the lenses I have for it, it’s a bit bulky. My smaller Canon digital that I use for my day to day photos could do, but it’s zoom is limited.
In researching what’s out there I’ve been seeing how the MP size has really increased in cameras these days, even in the smaller ones. My small Canon is a 4 MP camera which at the time was the best available in the smaller digital cameras. Now most come with 7.1 MP or even larger.
I decided on the Canon Power Shot S5 IS with 8 MP and 12X optical zoom. My larger Canon Rebel is also 8 MP and the photos are fantastic. Now I’m the proud owner of a smaller digital camera that can produce those same high quality photos! I finally found something to spend my Best Buy gift card for that the staff had given me when I left. Of course I had to toss in a few more bucks, but the gift card sure helped to give me a great deal! I love toy stores! 
Oh and I forgot to mention something about my son Brian the other day. I was reminded when I wrote about the possible trip to San Francisco with my high school girlfriends via the ferry that leaves from Suisun for SF. Brian and his girlfriend had taken the ferry a week or so ago to SF and while there he bought himself an Armani suit! The boy loves quality too. He’s excited about his suit. It’s being altered to fit perfectly now so he hasn’t picked it up yet. Brian’s only had a few occassions where he’s worn a suit and he looks so handsome all dressed up. He’ll be dressed to kill now in this Armani suit! That’s my boy!
